5 Ways to Help Your Community This Holiday Season
During the holidays, many people feel motivated to give back to their communities. Food and toy drives pop up for people in need. Community dinners feed families who struggle, and shelters provide warmth.
At Elontec, we embrace a culture of giving year-round. Whether you are new to giving or make it a holiday tradition, here are some of many Arizona nonprofits that need your help during the holidays and beyond. Perhaps you and your family could resolve this New Year to become more involved in giving back to your community.
The Diaper Bank of Central Arizona - The cost of diapers adds up. Parents need diapers in order to drop children off at daycare. Learn more about Elontec's involvement with the Diaper Bank.
Kitchen on the Street - Kitchen on the Street delivers nutritious meals to schools around the valley. They stock emergency panties and run a food truck to raise money and awareness to end childhood hunger.
Homeward Bound - Homelessness affects hundreds of Arizona families. Homeward Bound accepts donations and they need help in their food banks, home repair programs, and special events.
CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates represent foster children in Arizona courts. You can volunteer to be an advocate to help abused and neglected children in our state. If you want to help foster children but aren't in a position to become a foster parent, becoming an advocate makes a difference.
Arizona Women's Education and Employment - AWEE's programs connect job seekers with jobs in order to lift women and families out of difficult situations. In addition to volunteering or donating, check out their wish list for additional ways to give.
If you are a community organization in central Arizona, please reach out to Elontec. We are willing to dedicate our resources and talents in any way we can to community causes.
